Miss Kobayashi is an office worker who lives a boring life. One day, while drunk, she saves the life of a female dragon and invites her to her small apartment. With a devoted, high-spirited Dragon Maid as her roommate, Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to change!

Following a hangover, Kobayashi is approached by a dragon named Tohru, who states that she had saved her life the previous night and offered to let her live with her as a maid.

#2 Second Dragon Kanna! (We’re Totally Spoiling Here)

Kobayashi goes with Tohru to the shopping district, finding she is quite friendly with the townsfolk even after stopping a pickpocket with extreme force. Later, Kobayashi is approached by Tohru's friend from the dragon world, Kanna Kamui.

#3 Start of a New Life! (That Doesn’t Go Well, Of Course)

Realising there is not enough room for herself and two dragons, Kobayashi decides to buy a larger apartment with a separate bedroom for Tohru and Kanna.

#4 Kanna Goes to School! (Not That She Needs To)

Kanna watches the elementary schoolers going to school with jealousy, so Miss Kobayashi decides to let her attend elementary school.

#5 Tohru’s Real World Lessons! (She Thinks She Understands It Already)

Tohru's finally gotten the hang of her maid duties. Suddenly interested in what Miss Kobayashi does at work, she heads out to observe. There she watches how everyone relies on Miss Kobayashi and falls for her again.

#6 Home Visit! (And Homes Not Visited)

Kanna is invited to Saikawa's home. Since Saikawa's family has a maid too, they invite Miss Kobayashi and Tohru to join her. When a genuine maid, Josie, greets them, Miss Kobayashi gets excited.

#7 Summer’s Staples! (The Fanservice Episode, Frankly)

Miss Kobayashi and the others go off for a fun day at the beach.

#8 New Dragon, Elma! (She’s Finally Appearing, Huh?)

Kanna asks Miss Kobayashi to make her a lunch box for her field trip. After Tohru says to leave it to her, the two break out into a match to see who's better at it! Lucoa and Fafnir are added to the judge's panel, presiding over the cooking competition between Tohru and Miss Kobayashi!

#9 Sports Festival! (There’s No Twist or Anything)

It's Kanna's sports festival. However, when she learns Miss Kobayashi is too busy at work to come, she sulks. Miss Kobayashi wonders why she'd want her to come so badly when she isn't Kanna's parent, but Kanna already views her as one.

#10 Troupe Dragon, On Stage! (They Had A Troupe Name, Huh)

It's winter and Christmas is coming soon when Tohru is asked to put on a performance for the old folk's home. Tohru and the others decide to put on a play so as to not bother Miss Kobayashi while she's busy, yet without her there to control things, the play the dragons devise takes an unexpected turn...

#11 Year End, New Year! (No Comiket Bit This Time)

When Tohru plays the lottery at the shopping district, she wins a prize - not the hot springs trip she wants - but a kotatsu instead.

#12 Tohru and Kobayashi’s Impactful Meeting! (We’re Raising The Bar On Ourselves)

Tohru's now capable of handling the housework perfectly, and at Miss Kobayashi's request, she decides to make the best omurice for dinner one night. However, gathering high quality ingredients would put her over budget.

#13 Emperor of Demise Arrives! (It Was the Final Episode Before We Knew It)

The Emperor of Demise - Tohru's father - suddenly appears before her, and wants her to return home.

CHARACTERS

Kobayashi

A normal office worker who suddenly finds herself living with a dragon. While typically stoic and kind-hearted, she can get wild when drunk and has a particular facination with maids.

Tohru

A female dragon who has the ability to ransform into a human girl. After her life is saved by Kobayashi, she falls in love with her and starts living in her apartment as a maid.

Kanna Kamui / Kobayashi Kanna

Tohru's friend from the dragon realm who got exiled from her world and winds up living with Kobayashi as well.

Fafnir / Ooyama Takeshi

A male dragon with a strong distrust for humans, old friend of Tooru. He appears as a refined young man in his human form. He eventually comes to live in the human world with Takiya, becoming obsessed with video games.

Takiya Makoto

Kobayashi's co-worker who is intially believed by Tohru to be a rival for Kobayashi's affections, but is really just an otaku who likes to talk about maids with her.
