Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? is coming to ANIPLUS this April!
Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? is based on the popular Japanese light novel series of the same name, written by Nana Nanana and illustrated by Parum.
It began publication in January 2021 under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint. As of December 2024, ten volumes have been released.
Read the synopsis below:
At a certain middle school at the countryside, a boy and a girl pledged eternal friendship. Two years has passed since then, and the relationship between the two, who are destined partners sharing the same dream, goes on without any particular development…
Himari Inuzuka, an outgoing girl who has yet to find her first love, and Yu Natsume, the “herbivore type” boy who loves flowers, are on their second year of high school. They spend their days together peacefully as best friends and sole members of the gardening club. However, when Yu reunites with his first love and ex-girlfriend, Rion Enomoto, their relationship starts going off the rails?!
Will Himari break away from being an “ideal friend”, now that she has found love?
The opening theme song, “Shitsumon, Koitte Nandesho ka?”, is performed by HoneyWorks featuring HaKoniwalily, while the ending theme song, “Dear My Soleil”, is performed by Hina Tachibana.
