The anime adaptation of the video game New Sakura Wars (2020) has confirmed its Japan broadcast date to be 3 April, Sega Games announced on 26 February.
To commemorate its announcement, the opening and ending theme sequences, with its characters in their full glory, have been released ahead of the series’ broadcast. The theme song sequences are animated by the studio which will also handle the TV anime series, Sanzigen.

The new iteration of the classic Sakura Wars series centres on protagonist Sakura Amamiya (voiced by Ayane Sakura), captain of the Flower Division of the Imperial Assault Force. An original team outside of the game, the Moscow Assault Force, will make its appearance in the anime.
