With the Tsuwabuki Festival approaching, Tamaki and Koto tell Nukumizu that they want him to become the next club vice president and Komari to become the next president.
Nukumizu and the other first-years then take the initiative to prepare for the literature club’s exhibition. Upon Yanami’s suggestion, Nukumizu, Komari and Yanami head to town to research for an exhibition theme.
They finally find a new club advisor and things seem to be proceeding smoothly, but…

Nukumizu gets grilled by Ayano after he was spotted together with Chihaya. He clears things up, but that leads to a new misunderstanding that he actually likes Yanami.
For some reason, the five of them, including Lemon and Yanami, end up hanging out.
Lemon goes out of her way to give Ayano and Chihaya time to themselves at the planetarium but ends up in an argument with Ayano.

Nukumizu leads a few chaotic days, with Yanami suddenly showing up at his house with a bunch of somen and his younger sister Kaju overreacting to the news that her brother has made friends.

The two friendless comrades Nukumizu and Komari are debating about tap water at a water fountain away from the campus.
The Literature Club, with new members Lemon and Yanami, goes on a training camp after club president Tamaki and Vice President Koto decide to submit a web novel as a way to demonstrate their club activities to the student council.
Nukumizu and his companions enjoy a typical high school summer trip to the beach while they keep writing, but then a fireworks accident at night leads to an unexpected situation.
Episode 2 【A Promised Failure for You】
Lemon says she has something to tell Nukumizu and invites him to the gym storage room for privacy. After Nukumizu gives her advice, the two find themselves locked in the scorching hot gym storage room.
