Episode 12 【Honey Lemon Soda】

While half awake, Uka confesses to Kai that she loves him, but she is unable to make proper contact with him. Frightened, Uka tells Serina her feelings, noting “even if Kai likes somebody like her”.

Serina tells Uka that Kai found a place for the two of them soon after the storeroom was made off limits.

Encouraged by Serina’s words and determined to confess her true feelings, Uka calls Kai to the classroom after school once more…

Episode 11 【Feelings Bursting Through】

Assuming that her relationship with Kai would end if she confessed and was rejected, Uka tells everyone “her type” of boy is someone who’s a complete opposite of Kai.

Marin, who has just been rejected by Kai, tells Uka that she wants to introduce her to someone who’s her “type”, and purposely arranges for them to meet at Kai’s workplace.

Unable to stand watching them, Kai intervenes. One the way home with Kai, Uka decides to be true to her own feelings. Meanwhile, the school sports festival is about to begin.

Episode 10 【A Side of You No One Knows】

No longer changing schools, Uka returns to her class and is cheerfully welcomed by her classmates. After changing seats, Uka is now seated farther away from Kai.

Bumping into Remi after school, she learns that Kai has been going out at night, making Uka feel uneasy.

The next day, Uka goes to her and Kai’s secret hideout and finds that it has become off limits with “do not enter” tapes. She later finds out that it was Kai who made the report. Uka is shocked that she only knows little about Kai, but…

Episode 9 【Goodbye, My Awkward Self】

A new school term begins. Uka’s father, Kenjitsu, happens to see Uka going to the karaoke for the first time.

When Uka returns home, he tells her that he does not approve of her being in Hachimitsu High and that he wants her to change schools. As a result, Uka is forced to take a break from school.

Her father complains to the school that Uka was bullied while Ayumi and her classmates desperately try to clear up the misunderstanding, but to no avail. Noticing that Uka is unreachable by phone, Kai suddenly appears on her balcony…

Episode 8 【Show Some Courage】

Ayumi invites Uka to the beach. Not having a swimsuit, Uka watches the dazzling scene from afar.

She then runs into Remi, the one who bullied her the most in middle school. Uka gathers the courage to speak to Remi, who then gets surprised, but coldly responds, “You annoy me, but not nearly as badly as before,” before walking away.

Meanwhile, word spreads among their classmates and to Uka that Serina has confessed to Kai and was rejected…

Episode 7 【Sorry for Loving You】

Uka’s class wins an award at the school festival. Mr. Abe proposes a class celebration at the karaoke, but Uka is unable to attend due to curfew.

Uka heads home alone, but Kai offers to walk her home while taking a detour, making Uka happy. One day, Serina is harassed by some seniors jealous of her popularity.

Serina opens up to Uka and Ayumi who happen to pass by, revealing that she was also isolated in her class in middle school and Kai was the one who protected her.

Episode 6 【It Will Keep Happening】

Hoping to be of help to the class, Uka joins the school festival’s organising committee. After her earnest presentation, her class decides to host the popular maid café.

At first, her classmates pay no mind and refuse to participate, but are soon moved by Uka’s enthusiasm and begin to actively help out.

On the day of school festival, during a highlight event “Fool & Cool”, Kai declares “I am Kai Miura from Class 1–B and Ishimori’s attendant”, causing a commotion throughout the school.

Episode 5 【A Wonderful Person】

Uka learns that the popular girl in school, Serina, was Kai’s ex-girlfriend in middle school. While Ayumi, Kai and the others are studying at a family restaurant, Serina and her group appears.

Annoyed by her followers poking fun at Uka about her curfew, Serina gets angry and defends Uka. She later apologizes and walks away with dignity as Uka begins to admire her.

The next day, Serina’s followers take revenge on her and tries to hit her, but Uka tries to protect her…

Episode 4 【Not Matter How Far Apart】

The students of class 1B get lost on the hiking trail during their orientation trip. Uka volunteers to look for a way out and dashes off in the rain.

Kai goes after Uka, who keeps blaming herself for the situation, and gives her a hug. While Uka fails to comprehend the situation, she spots a bridge that was on her map.

Uka regroups with her classmates and hands them some towels and bottles, which were apparently all kept within her large backpack. Uka’s classmates gradually change their impression of her.

Episode 3 【Our Little Secret】

After realizing Ayumi’s romantic feelings for Satoru, Uka offers to swap her seat during a seat change, which is beside Satoru’s.

As a result, Uka ends up sitting in the first row, in between Kai and Tomoya. Wanting to know more about Kai, Uka begins observing him closely.

While searching for Kai, who has disappeared during lunch break, she enters a room where she spots a lemon soda bottle, and finds Kai sleeping in there.

Kai accepts the situation and asks Uka to wake him up when time’s up, while Uka begins to feel flustered…

Episode 2 【Transforming Into a Treasure】

Kai saves Uka from Remi’s gang. With that, Uka joins the clique with Kai, Ayumi, Satoru and Tomoya.

At physical education class, Uka makes a beautiful basketball shot from the pass she received from Ayumi. Kai was the one who encouraged Ayumi to do the pass.

By doing so, he dispels everyone’s impression of Uka being bad at sports.

While Uka feels like she can do anything, Kai notices that Uka’s father, Yoshimi, has been monitoring Uka’s situation in school…

Episode 1 【Because I Met You】

Uka Ishimori, once bullied in middle school, enrolls in Hachimitsu High School, which known for having a liberated school culture.

Kai Miura, a “lemon soda boy” who has lemon-colored blonde hair, is also a student there. Uka chose to enroll in Hachimitsu High School to follow Kai’s footsteps after a chance encounter with him previously.

Initially struggling to fit in, Uka befriends her classmate, Ayumi Endo. However, Uka soon runs into Remi’s gang, who used to call her “Rocky” in her middle school days.
