Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii is based on the popular Japanese manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Asuka Konishi.
Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii started as a web manga published on pixiv and was serialized into print manga in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon after rising in popularity. One year after serialization, the manga ranked 1st in the fourth “Next Manga Award” in the print category in 2018.

Yoshino Somei’s grandfather is Renji Somei, the head of the Somei family—a direct affiliate of the largest criminal organization in Kansai, the Kirigaya Group. Renji instructs Yoshino to live with Kirishima Miyama, her arranged marriage partner and also a member of the Kirishima family—a direct affiliate of the largest criminal organization in Kanto, the Tokusa Group.
Yoshino is warmly welcomed by Kirishima, who seems friendly and approachable; nothing like what one would assume from his lineage. Relieved to find kindness in an unfamiliar place, Yoshino begins to feel more at ease.
However, after a certain incident, Yoshino comes face to face with Kirishima’s true nature.
The opening theme song, “Under and Over”, is performed by The Oral Cigarettes, while the ending theme song, “Nani Wararotonnen”, is performed by Yoshino.
