Battle Royale between three Fall Anime |

We are into the middle of October and all the new anime titles have aired their first episode. So which is the most anticipated title?

Fall features more than 50 new titles, with a myriad of genres including action, sports, comedy, science fiction and many more. From much anticipated original works to the latest popular titles, one is clearly spoiled for choice. AnimeAnime conducted a poll on the “Most Anticipated Spring Title After Watching Episode 1” and the final result shows the top three titles separated by a mere ONE vote.

Sword Art Online: Alicization

First place with 19% of the total votes. The latest “SAO” series premiered with a 1-hour special, and features the returning protagonist Kirito, as well as new characters like Eugeo and Alice. The episode had a fitting conclusion that kicked off the series. Being voted the number one ranked “Most Anticipated Anime Title of Fall 2018”, it seems like the first episode did not disappoint the fans.

Iroduku: The World in Colors

Second place, by only a difference of one vote. This is an original time traveling fantasy series set in a world where magic exists. The usage of colours is truly impressive, hardly a surprise since the production is by animation studio P.A. WORKS.

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai

Third place, and also one vote from second place. Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai is a popular novel published by Dengeki Bunko, and is a fantasy youth series about how a high school boy named Sakuta Azusagawa is embroiled in a strange phenomenon known as Puberty Syndrome. In addition to the TV series, there will be a movie coming out in 2019, so do look forward to that too.

In terms of ranking by gender, the results for males are Iroduku: The World in Colors (#1), SAO (#2), Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai and Zombieland Saga (tied at #3). The results for females are Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai and SAO (tied at #1) and Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san (#3).

The poll was carried out on 310 people, which made up of 62% male and 38% female, and the majority are under the age of 19 (36%) and people in their 20s (32%).
