Anime “AOBUTA” Advance Screening |

On 15 September 2018, the advance screening event for “Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai”, which is slated for broadcast in October 2018, took place at two venues – 109CINEMAS SHONAN and United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba.

The main cast, consisting of Kaito Ishikawa, Asami Seto, Nao Toyama, Maaya Uchida and Yurika Kubo made their appearance at the event and held a talk session about the title. In addition, the surprised anime film adaptation announcement was made.

The comment from Kaito Ishikawa, who voices the main character Sakuta Azusagawa:

“The story’s development will become even more intriguing and exciting after episode 1 and 2, so please look forward to the premiere!”.

Next, Asami Seto, who voices Mai Sakurajima, relayed her gratitude and finally greets the audience:

“I feel very grateful knowing that so many people have taken interest to AOBUTA. While we look forward to the premiere, I hope everyone will have a blast when watching the first two episodes again on broadcast. Please support AOBUTA!”

After that, Maaya Uchida who voices Nodoka Toyohama and Nao Toyama who voices Tomoe Koga both gave their comments about the series respectively:

Finally, Yurika Kubo who voices Kaede Azusagawa gives her comment:

“Now that you’ve watched the first two episodes, don’t you feel like you can’t wait for the continuation?! Let’s have a blast with AOBUTA!”

After that, the green-lit anime film adaptation of the 6th and 7th volume of the AOBUTA series, also known as “Seishun Buta Yaro wa Yumemiru Shoujo no Yume wo Minai” and “Seishun Buta Yaro wa Hatsukoi Shoujo no Yume wo Minai” respectively, was announced. At the same time, the key visual for the movie was revealed and the first wave of advance ticket sales commenced. The surprise announcement triggered a lot of hype at the venue.

The TV anime series will commence in October 2018, while the film will go on cinemas in 2019. We look forward for more news to come.
