A 67-second trailer for the upcoming City Hunter movie titled “City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes” has been released. It has also been announced that actress Marie Iitoyo and comedian Yoshimi Tokui will be making guest appearances in the theatrical animation. Check out the trailer.
City Hunter is a hard-boiled detective comedy about Ryo Saeba and Kaori Makimura and their fight against evil that cannot be judged by the law. The movie – a 20-year revival of the classic – presents a whole new story set on the stage of modern Shinjuku.
Not only will familiar characters like Umibozu and co. return, new characters will also be introduced. And making guest appearances in the movie are young actress Marie Iitoyo and comedian Yoshimi Tokui. The voice acting debutant Iitoyo plays the character Aki Shindo, while Tokui plays a role that will be revealed later.
The ending theme song for the movie will be “Get Wild” by TM Network, which is synonymous with the TV anime.
