2,000 years ago, at the Great Spirit Forest, Aharthern. Anos takes the form of a young child and introduces himself as Anoshu Polticoal, a traveling performer, and remains in Aharthern to carry out his investigation. While Anos and the others observe the movements of the Great Spirit Leno, and Shin, who was ordered to guard Leno before Anos was reincarnated, Erdomaid, the Conflagration King, brings forth some information about the gods.

Erdomaid conducts a training to teach the students the art of dragon slaying, which turns out to be a dangerous combat practice against real dragons! Anos' group venture into the dragon's nest, eventually reaching the underground world where the Dragonmen reside. Guided by Ahide, who attacked them the night before, they set out for the Academic City of God Agents, Aberast Anzetta. There, Anos learns that he has become involved in the "Selection Trial".

#16 Combining Little Bits of Courage

Emilia and the hero academy students attempt to challenge the magic of dragon slaying, "De Jerias", a barrier spell used to restrain a dragon.
